I have asked this question as Functional consultant, I got job to do data migration from legacy to AR. I could NOT delivered the interface document for migrating and lost the job.

Because of above reason, trying to learn required technical information as a Functional consultant in data migration perspective (eg: customers, invoices, receipts migration).

GL Interface document link also good. Please try to add similar kind of Interfaces in other modules also.

Most interface related jobs require some knowledge of interface tables and the interface process. Each interface works slightly differently.
As a functional consultant you need to understand how the data in the interface table will eventually map to the fields on the screen. In functional specs document that you talk about what fields that are important for the business and also what fields must be populated in the interface table. Functional consultant will also specify if any validation needs to be taken place on the data before it is insert into the interface table.
Tasks like how to populate the data and how validate it etc fall into the plate of technical consultants (programmers). Sometime even the task of mapping interface table fields to front end fields is also owned by technical consultants. This is a grey area and usually you go with the flow. However it is always an asset for a functional consultant to equip himself with the knowledge of important interface tables.
